“For me, photography is to place head, heart and eye along the same line of sight. It is a way of life”
Henri Cartier Bresson
Hi. Thanks for dropping by. I’m an Irish Mum of two based in Doha, partial to dark chocolate, prime lenses and Hugh Laurie.
There are many catalysts that lead me to becoming a professional photographer…..watching my children grow and learn, my mad and beautiful friend Cate in Paris who introduced me to a camera many moons ago and my Dad who captured myself and my 7 brothers and sisters so brilliantly when we were young and inspired me to do the same. I will forever be hugely indebted to them for setting me on my way and leading me to discover the gift for something I am passionate about doing everyday.
I love that through the medium of photography, we can capture moments in life that would otherwise fade and be forgotten. My style is simple, focussed on storytelling and about capturing the little details. I love to think outside the box because I want you to have stunning photographs that stand apart from the “run of the mill” photography sessions we are used to seeing and I am a big fan of b&w images.
I look forward to working with you to create moments that you will value forever.
Things I love…. first cuppa in the morning, snuggles with my babies, clean cool sheets, crunchy peanut butter, mountain air, speaking French, the Hill of Tara, my 50mm prime, people who smile, random acts of kindness, songs that make me cry, dissecting chocolate bars, did I mention Hugh Laurie?
Pet peeves….. wet cuffs on sleeves after washing up, rubbish on the ground, arrogance, tomatoes, lies, odd socks in the laundry basket, long haul flights with a toddler, people who eat with their mouth open, discrimination of any kind, wobbly tables in restaurants, duck face selfies, queue skippers, stubbing my toe, discovering I have no petrol when I’m late for the school run
